The Bob Graham 24 Hour Club

Start/finish location

While the standard 42-peak Round has always started and finished at the Moot Hall in Keswick, the various extensions and “super challenges” have chosen different locations. It’s within the Club’s remit to record the successes on such challenges but the detailed requirements are not always explicitly codified; instead, they develop through the precedent of the first completion or by agreement between the early challengers – all with the aim of preserving the ethos of that challenge. With that in mind, here’s a quick rundown of what is generally expected

50@50, 55@55
Start and finish at the Moot Hall as for the standard Bob Graham Round.
24hr fell record
Start and finish at a place of your choosing. The current men’s and women’s records started at Newlands Hause. Over the years, previous records have started from Braithwaite, Wasdale, Langdale and Keswick.
Wainwrights
Start and finish at the Moot Hall. If for exceptional reasons a different start point is chosen the Moot Hall must be visited.
Stephen Parr Round
Start and finish at the Moot Hall. If for exceptional reasons a different start point is chosen the Moot Hall must be visited. If you intend to attempt the record time or a fastest time then you must start and finish at the Moot Hall. Steve Parr Round on the FKT site.
Double Bob Graham Round
Start and finish at the Moot Hall. Complete one clockwise and one anti-clockwise round, either as whole rounds or as part-rounds where you turn around at a chosen point on the route (traditionally, this has involved going clockwise from Keswick to Yewbarrow, turning around and returning to Keswick anti-clockwise, continuing anti-clockwise back to Yewbarrow, and then returning clockwise to Keswick). If the attempt is to count as a qualifying round then the rounds must be as per the standard round, one clockwise, one anticlockwise, both going Keswick to Keswick.
